Dogs need a mixture of structure, leadership exercise and lots of love. We Talk Dog offers Training & Coaching, Grooming, Boarding and Daycare to meet most of your dog’s needs in one location!
Conveniently located in the Crestwood area, we have over 9,000 square feet of dog play areas (outdoor K-9 turf and size-appropriate indoor play areas), well trained, dog-loving staff, top-of-the-line groomers, custom built suites or traditional training crates for comfy overnight stays, and on-site trainers to help you overcome any doggy related issues that may be getting out of hand. In other words, we’ve got all the bases covered!
Dog Safety
Dog safety is NUMBER ONE at We Talk Dog. This means a lot of things working together to be as safe of a facility as we can make it. Besides being fully staffed 24/7/365, safety starts with our staff learning to “Talk Dog” with our training program and continuing education. Next, we use the best product line on the market, ProVet Logic, for cleaning and sanitizing our facility throughout the day and at night.
All dogs coming in for boarding and daycare are required to have a “Temperament Assessment”. This is a two hour session where owners drop off their dog with our trainers and staff who evaluate their temperament, socialization level and other skills to see if WE are a good fit for your dog. Questions about their temperament assessment? Here are some FAQs that might help.
About Adam
About Ellyn
Ellyn has been part of the We Talk Dog family since 2013, starting as a handler and quickly falling in love with the world of dog behavior and training. What started as simply loving dogs turned into a passion for helping dogs and their people truly understand each other.
Over the years, she has worked hands-on in everything from consultations and house calls to board and trains, and now leads our training program. Her focus is helping dogs build confidence, work through behavior challenges, and become their best selves.
When she’s not training, you’ll usually find her working with her Australian Cattle Dog, Flidais, competing in dock diving, scentwork, barn hunt, lure coursing, and disc. She brings that same high-drive energy and creativity into her training style.
Fun fact: Ellyn has a soft spot for high-drive, slightly “spicy” dogs. They’re her absolute favorite to work with.
